glow plugs and how to get to them

Hi everyone, I am a novice diy'er when it comes to my Renault. I have an error code suggesting a glow plug error but I want to check them.



I have the megane Dynamique 1.5 tdi on a 10 plate. This may sound like a stupid question but how do I get to them, I have an engine cover fitted with a big steel looking tube running right across the middle of it. I am guessing that this is some sort of intake for the turbo maybe.

does this just pull of to allow the engine cover to be unfastened and lifted out of the way or am I being completely daft?



any suggestions or help much appreciated :confused:
