clio 1.5 dci cold starting problems

Hi all,

I have searched the fourm and cant find the answer im looking for.

Recently my Clio has stopped starting when the engine is cold. it would start instantly if jumped from my partner car or a bettery pack or of the engine is warm.

I have primed the fuel and it has no or very little air bubbles in it.

i checked the glow plugs and two of them were not working. These have been replaced.

But still no luck.

I called the RAC out and they said that the "lion" battery i had could be low so i replaced it with a "BOSCH".

Still having the same problem. It turns over just fine but will not fire up.

The RAC guy showed me to spray some brake cleaner in the airbox and it started up first time. (this clearly isnt a resolve of the problem).

Ive seen threads about the glow plug relay being an issue but cant find anyhting on how to check this or where its located.

open to any help or advice,

thanks

rob
