Is this a dephaser problem as well ?

After several months of that irritating rattling noise on startup, the engine now stalls when cold, unless revved up. But once warm, the engine is absolutely fine. It's just that while the engine is warming up, you need to rev like mad or it will stall.

I got fault codes PO340 and P0010. Changed the oil and filter, and the temperature sensor (which was erratic). But the problem persists - it's virtually un-driveable for the first 2 or 3 miles. Timing belt was changed about 3 years ago.

Need to drive from Wiltshire to Suffolk at the weekend - given that the engine sounds fine once warm, am I risking a lot of damage by contemplating the journey? Does this sound like the dephaser? It's a 2005 car, so I don't know if it's worth spending a grand or so on a new dephaser. Could it be anything else ? Thanks!
