Evening everyone, I hope I am posting in the right section.
I though I would share my experience and hopefully help someone out.
I have a Megane Dynamique mkIII 2010 1.5 dci. Recently it developed a intermittent but very annoying fault.
When accelerating the car would start to miss and splutter at 2.5k rpm and above but only occasionally would it throw up an error code.
After taking to a number of garages who said nothing wrong, cannot find anything and the codes mean nothing I think I have tracked the fault down.
I have bought a cheap DTC reader from Euro Parts for £30.00 and the blue tooth app and adapter off ebay and monitored the car.
It would always seem to all sorts of codes and errors but p0380 and p0002 would always appear. So as you will see from my earlier threads I decided to jump in and first get to the glow plugs and guess what... That's right folks I found a fault plug so swapped it out.
I then concentrated on the P0002 code.
The P0002 code from what I can tell is not a common code used by car companies but suggests a pressure/vacuum fault.
I started to hunt around and found that I had a major amount of air in the fuel line. The supply to the fuel filter and sensor was fine but full of air from the filter. I have now managed to get to the filter and replace it and all of the o ring seals. Thankfully the air has now gone and after a lot of driving this weekend fingers crossed so has the fault and the generation of error codes.
I thought that you all may like to know, I have seen that this has been a problem on earlier models but very few mentions of the Megane Mk III.
Anyhow I hope this helps someone as it caused me a lot of stress and worry that I had a serious engine fault. This fault was intermittent but had become more regular recently, I am now keeping my fingers crossed that this is the end of my problems. I have done quite a few miles this weekend so am quietly confident.
