Laguna 2 Rear suspension vague and knocking / rattling

Hi folks,

Here's my problem.



My '05 lag 2 dci rattles/knocks over undulations and is interesting through the bends to say the least :eek:



So far I have done the following:

• Replaced rear axle bushes (originals looked fine to me)


• Replaced a worn shocker


• Jacked up the rear and looked for obvious damage to springs


• Checked rear wheels for movement, 9oclock - 12 oclock and 12 and 6 . No play at all


• No detectable play in anything I can wiggle on the back end


• Checked tightness of rear axle bushes bolts


• Had tracking adjusted

The handling is just as iffy now as it was before doing the above work. The only additional symptom since doing the above is the rattle/knocking . The car lurches into bends and becomes unsettled if navigating a chicane (quick change of direction).



I'm at a loss now. Any bright ideas guys ?
