problem still there, kangaroo jumps, low revs, flat spots

the problem with my sons megane II 2003 1.4 is still there, though they are not as bad or as frequent after replacing the manifold o2 sensor, also we ran a diagnostic and the o2 sensor after the cat in the exhaust system was completely dead (no voltage fluctuation, and no fuel trim adjustments)coils/plugs cleaning of map sensor and camshaft sensor, also cleaned throttle body recharged battery.

with the after cat o2 sensor we exchanged it with the one we took out of the manifold(just to make sure the wiring was ok) and re ran diagnostic, this time the voltage was fluctuating exactly or near as the new o2 sensor in the manifold, but the fuel trim readings were still flatline for the after cat sensor.... is the after cat o2 sensor supposed to alter the fuel trim at all? if so thats another thing we can replace with a new part...

the car runs much much better in cooler temps, as soon as he trys to drive it in hot days like today the car falls back into its old tricks of kangaroo'ing revs dropping to around 300rpm and no response from gas pedal at all, he turns it off and waits a min or two then starts it up again and car runs ok for another 5 mins but if its a hot day that 5 mins is shortened to about 30 seconds each time.

QUESTION: what sends the spark timing to the coils? is it the crankshaft sensor? if so even though we have cleaned it, is it worth getting a new one

ALSO: the check injection warning he gets for a few seconds, he says that when this message pops up and goes away again the car gets a spurt of power and shoots off like a rocket.

I've got a feeling this car has not been serviced or had anything done to it in all its 11 years of running, so these symptoms could be a mixture of a few separate things.

we're slowly working through them 1 by 1 and the help we get from you guys in invaluable to us to point us in the right direction.
