scenic 2 1.5 dci 2005 hard to start

Looking for some help

Are there any cheap fault code readers that are any good.

I have tried a cheap one and it wouldn't work at all.



I have read a lot of threads that seem to scare me a bit as very few seem to get fixed... hopefully the reader might pin point the fault :-)





From cold it is very difficult to start and you have to put your foot flat to the floor on the accelerator to start usually on the 2nd or 3rd attempt.



I have carried out basic service -new fuel filter,air filter oil, glow plugs etc.

Also carried out injector leak off test and none of them appeared to be excessive I also cleaned them and fitted new injector seals. (I cut open the old filter and no metal was present)



Once warm the car starts easily and without throttle

Also seems to drive fine.
