changing sidelights on megane scenic 2004

hey guys,i am struggling to change sidelights nearside and offside,,i can grab hold of them from above through the bonnet,i pull off the circular cap,pull off the connecting cable,but because i cannot see what i am looking at,i cannot release the bulb,any ideas for the best method thanks
