I have read and read trying to find an answer and cant find no luck!
Had my OSF spring snap on my CC 1.9 DCI. I have ordered a new spring, I have fitted it, and the top mount sits at angle. I bolted the suspension upto the car, and thats were the problems started.
I have tried 3 different springs (all new) and they are the correct one for the vehicle, and the same happens. It seems that the whole leg sits out about 6 inches too much. I have checked the top mount, etc and cant see anything wrong. Has anyone had this before? I could probably force the driveshaft into the hub, just not sure it would be safe? and surely this isnt correct?
