new engine

Hi all, after picking up the wife a 2004 1600 megane, I've discovered that piston rings on cylinder 3 are shot,so.. New engine it is! Engine code is k4m 780, but there doesn't seem to be a lot around. Will I be Able to stick another lump in it with slightly different codes, or does it have to be an exact match?.. Thanks in advance.

Hi after picking up the wife a megane 2004 1.6 I have discovered the piston rings on the 3rd cylinder have gone, so new engine it is, the engine code is k4m 780 but there doesn't seem to be many around. Does any one no if it has to be the same engine code or could it be a slightly different engine code

Thanks in advance
