Ebola virus

I've just heard on the news that a British Aid worker has contracted the ebola virus, and is to be flown back to Britain. With all due respect to him and his family, how can anyone in charge of the health of this country, allow this virus to enter into here. It has been made obvious to us all through the media that there is no cure to this virus.
