Hello, my wife's clio (1.2/2000 reg) overheated whilst in traffic. I've discovered the radiator fan is not cutting in.
I replaced a blown fuse in the box next to the battery although I'm not sure what this fuse was actually for. I also replaced the water coolant sensor on the cylinder head. Still no luck and I found the same fuse had blown again. I replaced it again and it hasn't blown again yet.
My next line to take is to replace the 2 relays in the box with the fuses failing that maybe change the fan?
I am wondering though if the thermostat may not be opening, so no hot coolant would be reaching the sensor and telling the fan to come on?!
Any opinions? ?
