2005 Renault trafic 2.4 dci diesel pump change problems

I have been given the job to change the diesel pump on my pals Renault trafic , got as far as the pump being loose but noticed the cover over the pully / cog on the other side go,s all the way around the engine and so the bottom pully needs to be removed and now I'm thinking the cam belt and a few pullys there need to be removed to access some more 10mm bolts so I can remove the cover to get to the nut holding the pully on the pump , is this what I have to do as I haven't touched the cam side of things yet
