Help changed fuel filter and now it wont start

Hi I have changed the fuel filter on a grande scenic 1.9 dci (2005) and it wont start now it tries to start and ticks over but just wont fire up. I have tried to prime the filter using the black hand pump thing but it doesn't feel like anything is happening. Please help I even put the old filter back in just to check it wasn't that it was the wrong one.

Please help i need to use it tommorow afternoon.:(:(:(
