I had to call the AA out last week because my parking brake wouldn't release. They ended up manually releasing it and I arranged for a mechanic to have a look.
The next day it wouldn't start (flat battery) I jump started it and took it to the garage - they said it needs a new handbrake motor (several billion pounds, apparently). I figured I would get a second hand motor on ebay. Anyway, drove it home and then two days later, same thing - flat battery, won't start at all.
Is this linked? i.e. the electric handbrake and the battery being drained? Or just a coincidence?
