W reg Clio sport 1.4 E7J timing

I have searched repeatedly but cannot find an answer...

I have four exhaust and an inlet valve to replace on my E7J 634 engine due to timing belt failure. That's all straightforward no problem and I'm just waiting for the parts.

The problem for me will be fitting the new timing belt without the position of the old one. I can see the timing marks on the crankshaft but the camshaft sprocket timing marl has nothing to line up with. I saw the thread where it turned out to be on the head cover and according to Haynes there should be one moulded into the cover, but there isn't on mine (see pic). Could it be the white mark?

Anybody help please?
