Chuffers Mini Mayfair 1986
1986 Austin Mini Mayfair Automatic 998cc – registration 08/08/1986
This Mini was owned by the same family from new until 2015
The second owner acquired the car 28.3.2015 – The MOT ran out in Sept 2015 & was
SORN till Mar 2018
The 11,780 miles on the clock can be warranted as correct, supported by the
original service book which contains 8 stamps.
The car was purchased by me in March 2018
The car has been MOT’d after it was found to have a few problems:
· Nearside Windscreen washer provides insufficient washer liquid (8.2.3) Polish in nozzle
· Exhaust has a major leak of exhaust gases (7.1.2) Manifold to exhaust - resealed
· Nearside rear parking brake recording little or no effort (3.7.B.6a)
· Parking brake: efficiency below requirements (3.7.B.7) Shoes fitted the wrong way round
· New rear shoes fitted
As one would expect of such a low mileage vehicle, it drives beautifully and the automatic gearbox performs well. The Mayfair retains its original book-pack and spare spare set of keys. This car is a "BL" era car and features items such as a rev counter, front disc brakes, plastic wheel arch covers, opening rear side windows and plush velour seating...... known as the "Mayfair Edition".

Central locking
Hi everybody,
i have a Clio 2003, 1.2 16v and the UCH unit started failing on me so i had it replaced with a used one but working (since i can't get the original anymore).
And after the replacement everything works fine except the remote key unlock. It will lock the car using the key but it won't unlock. When i click the button on the key to unlock (after i've locked) the lights flash and it makes a noise but it doesn't actually unlock the car.
If i try the unlock button inside the car it works fine.
I'm really happy with the new UCH unit because with the old one i would lose signal lights randomly or the car wouldn't start etc but now that i got the new one i just wanna see if there is a way to get the unlock key part "hacked" or fixed.
My car guy said that the UCH i got is ver5.3 and i had 5.1 or something like that and that that is the problem.
Anybody got any ideas or is this just not fixable?

Master 2.5 DCI STOP/battery light
Hi Guys. I have a 2006 2.5 master, just started it up and as soon as i turn the steering wheel the STOP light comes on along with battery light, steering seems to go heavy too..... Had no symptoms before hand, any ideas? cos i am thinking steering pump has just gone kaput....
Aux belt is still on and turning and as soon as i release the steering wheel the lights go out. Any ideas as i am really stuck. Cheers

Borge & Beck and Firstline same company?
Well i purchased a borge and beck clutch cable and recived a firstline one. So i went back for an exchange and they said they didnt have any borge and becks cables so give me a firstline brand becasue apparintly both brands are the same! I pointed out that the firstline cable was £13 and borge and beck was £27.
So if there the same what did i pay more for
So really what im thinking is if both brands are the same company are the items each brand sells is the same meaning exacly the same in quality.
When iv seen firstline stuff it normally look cheap and most mechanics i spoken too also say its cheap rubbish.
But when i mention borge and beck they say good quality stuff.

Renault trafic alarm system fitting
Hi all Newbie here
just brought a Renault trafic sport 15 plate,im looking at fitting and alrm as i gather it doesnt have one.
is the wiring harness all ready installed for and alarm system.

Grand scenic rear windows
Hi have a 2005 grand scenic with rear window issues rear passenger side only works from the front even though rear switch is fine. And the rear drivers wont work off front or back switches even though with an earthed circit tester screwdriver i can touch the wires on the conector for the switch and window goes up and down. Use the switch it dosent work. Grrrr anyone any advice? Driving me insane. Many thanks. Phil

Now the oldest son woke up to discover his parents dead (and the cow!) and he decided to go down to the river and drown himself. When he got to the river, he discovered a mermaid sitting on the bank. She said "I've seen all and know the reason for your despair. But if you will have sex with me five times in a row, I will restore your parents and the cow to you". The son agreed to try, but after four times, he was simply unable to satisfy her again. So the mermaid drowned him in the river.
Next the second oldest son woke up. After discovering what had happened, he too decided to throw himself into the river. The mermaid said to him, "If you will have sex with me ten times in a row, I will make everything right". And while the son tried his best (seven times!), it was not enough to satisfy the mermaid, so she drowned him in the river.
The youngest son woke up and saw his parents dead, the dead cow in the field, and his brothers gone. He decided that life was a hopeless prospect, and he went down to the river to throw himself in. And there he also met the mermaid. "I have seen all that has happened, and I can make everything right if you will only have sex with me fifteen times in a row". The young son replied, "Is that all? Why not twenty times in a row?" The mermaid was somewhat taken aback by this request.
Then he said, "Hell, why not twenty-five times in a row?"
And even as she was reluctantly agreeing to his request, he said, "Why not THIRTY times in a row?" Finally, she said, "Enough!! Okay, if you will have sex with me thirty times in a row, then I will bring everybody back to perfect health". Then the young son asked, "Wait! How do I know that thirty times in a row won't kill you like it did the cow?"
